When using the live software or editor my light shows randomly flash at different times. Whether its one light or all of them it will randomly flash. However when i control the scenes in stand-alone theres no flashing and they work fine.
So is there something I've done in the software to mess up my scenes?
Scenes Randomly Flash
Re: Scenes Randomly Flash
We checked the dmx signal with an oscilloscope. With all channels at level 0, the dmx signal looks the same in stand-alone mode and in computer mode. Please tell:
- brand & model name of the few lights which flash randomly
- does this happen when all channels are at level 0, or do you have to fix some levels to some channels ?
- what is your interface
- what operating system (XP, Visat, Seven, 32bits, 64bits, ...)

Re: Scenes Randomly Flash
-I have 16 Dortron Showtec RGB PAR64's and 8 White Dortron Showtec LED Par 64's
-We're running ShowXpress on a 32-bit XP and have a Chauvet ShowXpress Plus for linking to the computer and Stand alone.
-The lights flash when they have a value assigned so during a scene i'll have a quick random "blackout"
I saw in another thread where somebody mentioned to try and disable all network connections and tried that but it didn't fix the problem.

Re: Scenes Randomly Flash
We are not able to reproduce this problem, but we suspect that the usb stream with some computers could be too fast for the interface. Please do this:
- go in the the software folder (where are the exe files: ControlBoard.exe, Setup.exe, ...)
- move the file "ControlBoard.exe" in another location (in your destop screen for instance)
- download this file http://download.TheLightingController.c ... lBoard.zip
- unzip and copy "ControlBoard.exe" in your software folder (this new "ControlBoard.exe" sends the usb data a bit slower than the original "ControlBoard.exe")
Tell us if the flicker problem still exists or not, with this new "ControlBoard.exe" file.
