Hello everyone.
I am very much a beginner with the showxpress and everything that it can do but I am loving what I have been able to create so far.
I have had a couple of requests from drummers to trigger some lights on their kick drums in certain scenes being activated through their trigger modules.
Now in my head that should be able to be done using midi outs on the trigger module, connected, I assume to the pc through a USB cable, using some software or inbuilt software to recognise the module, then I can assign a button to turn on the lights for the kicks when the button trigger is set to midi.
I am having trouble trying to decipher how I get showxpress;
1/ to recoginse the trigger module.
2/ what settings I should set on the trigger module to then replicate in showxpress.
3/ Anything that I may not have thought of................ lol
Thanks in advance for your help.
Matt

Re: Using drum trigger module to trigger lights.
Showxpress doesn't need to recognize the trigger module: it only needs MIDI messages (of any kind, any physical or virtual MIDI object), and has a "learn" mode. Most drum modules will send a MIDI note "On" message, that's all you need to trigger a button in "live". Just try
