First, I do agree with Tim's feedback, there are plenty of very welcomed features in V9 and I'm having as well a positive experience so far.
I noticed a small visual issue with the new 3DView engine: it seems that objects (including the non-textured "old" models) get covered with a semi-transparent layer/reflection when being illuminated by wash-type beams.
The glows appears with Flat/Gourand/Phong rendering mode, however, the additional layer is "visible" also in Line render mode, with the lines of the reflection simply fading out outside the beams.
