Creating the actual scene within generator/ pixels
Creating the actual scene within generator/ pixels
I am probably just a huge dummy, but can someone tell me how to create the actual lighting scene when within generator/ pixel mode? I can only see how to save the project but not actually generate the scene which can be used in the light show.
Re: Creating the actual scene within generator/ pixels
I am working with the latest version.

Watching this video should help with creating scenes in steps/generator: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi3tV9eR1hI
Here is to pixels: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-rizeycH3k
The guy who made these did an amazing job, I suggest watching them all.

Re: Creating the actual scene within generator/ pixels
No need to generate a scene for Live. Live in V8 plays Generator/Pixels projects.
However if you really need to generate a scene, you can use the function "Save as scene*" in tab StandAlone.
*"Save as scene" ignores the Pixels projects.

Re: Creating the actual scene within generator/ pixels
In previous versions, I was able to create scenes from generator and pixel mode. I could then merge those scenes with others I had created. Is this capability now gone? It appears that the merge function is also gone from edit mode. Which version should I revert to to be able to perform this functionality?
Re: Creating the actual scene within generator/ pixels
The function "Save as scene*" in tab StandAlone replaces now the previous function "Merge".
This new function is much more powerfull, but it does handle Pixels projects only if you have created Pixels fixtures in Editor too.
The technical reason is Editor in V8 is fixtures based.
In our opinion, it makes no sense to merge a pixel mapping project with a "standard" scene (pan/tilt movement, ...).
