Imported OBJ file shows too small [fixed]

Post by bago »

I am trying to create my stage (which is actually a retail showroom) on the 3D View. I am using the free program Art of Illusion to create my entire showroom layout, then I am exporting it to an .obj format. My problem is that I can not scale the obj large enough which seems to be a limitation of the 3dview program not something that I am doing wrong, but I wanted to confirm this.

My tallest walls need to be scaled to be 10' tall, and it just doesn't seem to have that range - what can I do to make this an easier task? Using Art of Illusion would seem to accomplish this as I was able to take a 2D floor plan and then make the walls based on that.

Thanks for the assistance.

You can send us your OBJ file. We will check 3DView with it.

For information, the min and max scale values available in the 3DView object editor are designed for the provided 3D objects. You can certainly change the scale of your object in your 3D software before exporting.

Your OBJ file shows effectively very small in 3DView.
Please increase the size of your object, before exporting it as OBJ file.

For info, a 25 units dimension in the code of the OBJ file gives 1 meter in 3DView (25 units = 1 meter).
