Can Scenes be combined in ShowXpress ? [fixed]
Can Scenes be combined in ShowXpress?
It would be great to be able to "select all" in a sequence and paste it below itself so I could do a variation of that theme. I can't figure out how to do it. Any idea.
Thanks,
Dustin Anderson

To be clear -
I would like to create scenes in different files then combine them into one scene.
Can this be done and if so...How?

Re: Can Scenes be combined in ShowXpress ?
I understand the response to mean that I am to use a macro to combine the scenes. If this is incorrect please advise. I tried a macro and it isn't what I am looking for.
I don't think my initial question was clear....let me try again.
I would like to program a number of 'scenes' then copy and paste (hopefully with one button click) them into one scene. I don't want to make something to loop exactly the same. I want this 'scene' to be a number of asymmetrical variations on the original theme....with one button in LIVE to engage it.
If this can be done it would be great to understand how to do it as it will save me some time over the present way I understand how to make this happen.
Thanks,
Dustin

We propose a demonstration lightshow, especially made to discover the software concept.
We suggest you to import this lightshow, and to watch it.
Its name is "demo_show"; it is available here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=114

Hello Dustin,
I think I know what you want, however, I am not sure. Anyway I create several scenes and save them. I then load one scene into editor and then use the "file insert" function to insert the other scenes into the current scene. You can then if you want use the move up and down arrows to re-arrange the steps.

In other words he wants to merge separate .sce files. I don't think it can be done simply. Cut and pasting is one way as suggested. And of course Macros.

Hello Pink LD,
Merging scene files really is that easy. Just load the first scene into editor and highlight the step where you want to insert the new scene files. Use the "file insert" function to place the next scene file into the existing file loaded into editor.
