I would prefer to see these faders in the main window.
Other than that, my choice would be
1- Option 3 - new window -
2- Option 1 - new tab in main window
3- Option 2 - new tab in child window
Hope this helps

Re: Advanced Live control
I would also prefer them in the main window - attached screen shot is a lot of area that they could fit within.
Otherwise, option 1, then option 2, then option 3.

Re: Advanced Live control
First choice - Option 1 - New tab in main window
Second Choice - Option 3 - I can only see this if it is like a Page set up. Like my RGB panels are on one page. I could have it set for that.
Another Tab in Main is a great place, quickly accessable and is perfect if you have to make a quick tweak during a set. I can't see cluttering up the interface with extra child windows. I strongly suggest that people cosider this. You are not supposed to play with this all night, just set and forget. MAYBE tweak it once during your set.
Possibly 1 favorite group slider that can be mapped to a slider on the side of the main panel would be a better second choice.

Re: Advanced Live control
Following the suggestion to see the master faders in main window.
We understand that it is always better to see everything on main window, but the room between "auto bpm" section and dmx/3D buttons is so small !
If we consider a 800 pixels height monitor (budget laptop pc), the room for the faders is roughly 80x300 pixels. We can put either 2 faders of 280 pixels height, or 4 faders of 130 pixels height.
If we consider the screenshot of "eedetail" (bigger monitor ; 1024 pixels height), the room is 500 pixels height. This means 6 possible faders of 140 pixels height.
So we have some more questions:
- what is the minimum required height (in pixels) you need for a master fader ?
- how many "master faders" you would like to have ?
- are you ready to be limited to 4 short faders with small monitors ?
If we store the faders in a separate tab/window, there could be much more faders.
If you need to adjust the faders every 3 minutes, visible on main screen would effectively make sence.
If you need to adjust the faders only a few times during the show (as "DHoude" says), let's put them in a separate tab/window and have enough space to work correctly.
Reminder:
We are speaking about "master fader" (to proportionnally add/substract % of "dimmer" dmx levels).
It will not be possible with these sliders to do like in Editor (change color/gobo/...).

Re: Advanced Live control
@Support.
My understanding of all the previous posts is that there were going to only be 2 or 3 faders which would be configured to specific groups.
The new window now suggests that there could be numerous ones.
I then return to my previous request in wondering why we need so many, and why they cannot be configured by the patching method.
2 Main faders in the main window would be more than sufficient for me.
One for white light, and one for colour.

Re: Advanced Live control
I only see an immediate need for two master faders.
And yes, they would likely only be used a couple times during a show or less.
Would prefer two vertical faders on main page.
Height in pixels is not a concern of mine, using large laptop and 17" second monitor.

Re: Advanced Live control
I would like vertical sliders as well. I only have use for 1 slider now for my current panels. When I add uplighting soon I would like a second slider for that group. Any more than that may be over kill for me at the moment.
I have 1200 x 800 laptop (backup) and 1024 x 768 laptop (primary). I should have some decent room.

Re: Advanced Live control
Thank you for these answers.
So it looks like our first idea (big tab/window offering enough space for several faders) is not the best idea.
We are now checking the technical side of filling the empty space above buttons dmx/3d with a only few faders.

Re: Advanced Live control
I was thinking about this feature and we could make it only 1 slider in this area and then put "Group" buttons stacked vertically next to ithe slider. Then just click the group and adjust the fader.
Keeping it out of the way on a seperate tab is nice, but this could work too. What do you guys think?

Re: Advanced Live control
This is what I was thinking of. Without the DMX & 3D labels on the buttons.
