Post by greghy »

Hi,
is there a way to able or disable some DMX channels using a button?

Thanks,
Greg

Sure, why not? Make a scene with the faders you want deactivated and make a button with that scene. I could see a number of ways you could use that. That gives me a number of new ideas... =)

The problem is that: I'm working for an installation in a pub with different rooms (to be switched on separately).

I've made some color-theme scenes that change the colors to all the PARs (in all rooms) simultaneously.

I've a LED PAR that doesn't have a dimmer channel. So I want to switch it on or off.

I've tried creating a scene with the RGB faders to 0, but after activated that scene if I change to another color-theme scene the fixture switches on.

Sorry for my bad english,
Greg

Hi
This is possible when u program the rooms separate. If u have 2rooms make 2pages with the seperate scènes, then create a 3rd page with the combined scènes, u can use the macro funtion to combine excisting scènes.

Ok, but how can I select which room switch on and what color-teme scene use in all rooms, using macros?

If I make a macro that change the color theme to all rooms simultaneosly, I can't choose which room switch on.

Thanks,
Greg

Does this solve your problem? I have done it for two cases, one where your fixture has a shutter channel and one where it doesn't.

No, because in this example I can't switch on the fixtures with no shutters using a button: if I press the "Red" macro button, automatically these fixtures start to illuminate.

I want to control with a scene the color-theme and with another scene the on/off.

Thanks to the example!

If you want individual rooms on then you use the individual pages for room 1 and room 2, if you want them both the same then just use the macros.

This is the problem with having fixtures that don't have a shutter channel. As you can see if your fixtures have a dimmer/shutter channel then it works.

Alternatively wire the par cans up to a switch pack, they have on off switch then! (joking!)

Sorry that I can't make the software work exactly how you would like.
