Fader vs. preset slider in a button.

Hello,
When I made a button for a scene with several steps, the moving heads don't follow the precise path if I use the fader slider, but only when using the preset slider. Is there a way to make the fader slider be more precise, like the preset slider? It's so much easier to use the fader slider.
Related to this; can I map this button to a fader in the Akai midi controller so that it's precise in the movements of the moving heads, just like the steps in the recorded scene? I'm attaching a video below.

The "fader slider" fades the channels from first to last step in a linear way.
It does not consider the middle steps.
