Is it possible to activate multiple colors scenes to run as a chase

Post by Ssawahl »

Good morning,

I am fairly new to Showxpress and have been going through the tutorial videos from Darren (super helpful) but there is something I haven't figured out yet.

The program I am upgrading from Light Rider. In that program I can chose one to however many colors I want for the fixtures to cycle through when I select a pattern (essentially a steps or a generator scene). This pattern, we'll use a simple chase for this example, is a blank slate and you just chose the color or colors you want to be part of it.

Is there a way in live, probably using a macro, to select more than one color and have them cycle through the steps, generator or even pixels scenes without creating a new scene for every combination of colors I want to use?

I have made a scene for all of the solid colors I plan to use in my shows but when I select more than one the colors blend.

For example I want to for one song use only red and white for a chase scene but the next song I want to use red, white and blue with that same scene and so on with multiple color options.

Hope that makes sense.

We do not see an easy way to program a color chase each time with different colors, at the fly.
Sorry for that.

Support, that's not entirely correct.

In Live tab.
I usually add 10-16 macro's of color step/generator into an empty Page. Then on that page (hamburger menu), turn on "Chase play" or "Random play". If there is a color I do not want, then just right-click and Disable that button. Easy.

Easy fix. EDIT each color scene, and add value to the other color faders as well. Zero value. That way, only the latest color button pressed will have priority. (I never program value to the White channel on RGBW fixtures. I always have that open to have white bump. All, odd/even, or groups)
