Hi,
Using ShowXpress on PC, I have setup 6 master faders set to dimmers for certain groups of lights. These faders run from the value -100 to +100. -100 is the lights fully off, 0 is the lights fully on. There is no change between 0 and +100, rendering half of the fader length useless.
I am using the software with an AKAI MPD26 that has 6 physical faders. This means that on the physical faders, the top half does nothing.
Am I missing something really obvious? Is there a way to change the software master faders to a range of 0 to +100?
Cheers
Master Faders -100 to +100
Re: Master Faders -100 to +100
The Master Fader acts proportionally, from -100% of the normal value to +100% of the normal value.

Re: Master Faders -100 to +100
As the master faders are set to dimmers, surely there's a way to get them to go from fully off to fully on? Fully on is currently half way up the fader, so it makes fades much less smooth...?support wrote:The Master Fader acts proportionally, from -100% of the normal value to +100% of the normal value.
Re: Master Faders -100 to +100
Please use the "Sliders" for standard (non proportional) faders.

With Master Fader, if you program the value of the channel to less than 100%, then the Master Fader section from 0 to +100% will change the value.

I too don't get this at all.TWForum wrote:As the master faders are set to dimmers, surely there's a way to get them to go from fully off to fully on? Master Dimmer: 0-255(dmx) = fader 0-100% (top half) ~ Under 0 has no effect on a dimmer
Speed fader: 0-whatever value = fader -100%-0 (bottom half) ~ Over 0 has no effect on speed
