auto fade out of active button hitting new button [fixed]

Hi,
excuse basic question - I last used ShowXpress a couple of years ago and had set it up so a volunteer just had to click through a set of buttons that faded out the active button scene and faded up the new one for stepping through a church service. Right now in my test show the new one fades up ok, just the old one snaps to dark.
Can some kind soul point me in the right direction pls? I know it wasn't hard!
(No time to trawl through vids which I *know* showed me last time - whole pile of lights being installed next week and I've convinced the church to go with ShowXpress not a manual board so I would like it to be able to shine (sic)!)

Right click the button in question that's misbehaving and ensure "fade in" and "fade out" are both selected.
