live.ini - Buttons Mapped To Wrong Location
live.ini - Buttons Mapped To Wrong Location
One of our lighting techs programmed about 100 new buttons on his computer. When we try and move the files to other computers, the buttons map to the wrong locations. How can we bulk fix this problem. There are too many buttons to click edit file location, and point it to the proper location.

How did you transfer the showfile from 1 pc to another?

Please send your lightshow (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=168).
We will check that.

Re: LIVE.INI - Buttons Mapped To Wrong Location
I think the issue has to do with the LIVE.INI folder in the DEFAULT folder.
It shows a bunch of local file paths on the computer of the programmer. Why do these copy to me?

Like I asked before, how did you transfer the showfile from the programming device to your current device?monabaker wrote:I think the issue has to do with the LIVE.INI folder in the DEFAULT folder.

Re: LIVE.INI - Buttons Mapped To Wrong Location
1. The GPJ files must stay in folder (or sub-folder) of "../Editor/Generator/projects/".
It seems they have been manually moved (?)
If you move them in another location, the software store the absolut path instead of the relative path, then the lightshow is not compatible on another computer.
2. The names of the folders must not be changed, even the upper and lowercase letters.
In your lightshow, we see the folder "Scenes" instead of "scenes".
If change them, the software store the absolut path instead of the relative path, then the lightshow is not compatible on another computer.
