getting 2 scenes to work one after the other [fixed]

Post by dixxy »

Hi,

I have set up a scene with 2 Roboscan 518 (short a few seconds) let's call it scene #1
I have set up another scene with 4 Insignia's (longer let's say a minute) call it scene #2
I have set up another scene with the same 2 Roboscan (short a few seconds) call it scene #3

In the live mode i have all 3 scenes together scene #1 over scene #2, and scene # 3 beside them on the right in the same page. What happenes is scene #1 will run at the same time as scene #2, which is fine, but then scene #3 will only start after scene #2 is done.

Is there a way to have have scene #1 and 2 to run at the same time and then have scene #3 overlap scene #2? Like run right after scene #1even if #2 is not finished?

Maybe i have my buttons setup wrong, i don't know.

Thanks,

dixxy

The rule is: for active channels, last takes priority.
In other words, when you press a button to run a scene, the active channels of this scene take priority.

What is an active channel:

Hi And thanks for your answer, but not sure i grasp it.

I have read your and watched your 2 links, but it still does not answer my question.

Basically my question comes down to, can you run 2 short scenes one after then other at the same time as another scene? While scene 2 is running, can scene 1 and 3 play one after the ohter and just keep starting back over again (looping) while sceen 1 is running.

It is a bit hard to explain, i hope what i am asking is making sense.

Thanks,

I think I understand your question. If you put scene 1 and 3 on a page in live you can select "chase play" and it will loop the scenes on that page.

Does this answer your question?

thanks for the reply,

ok here is what i have done. page 1 has scene 1 and 3 (both short scene with Roboscans) and i set it to chase mode, page 2 has only Insignia scene in chase mode as well.

scene 1 starts, i start scene 2 on page 2, as soon as one of the scenes on page 1 is over then scene 2 on page 2 stops, without running the entire scene.

Is this supposed to happened? or am i still seting it up wrong?

thanks,

No this shouldn't happen, and it doesn't on mine. I'm afraid support will have to help on this one. Unless you can send me your show and I'll have a look at it for you.

Your page one shouldn't be a chase page.

Does it work now?

(I'm glad someone else is up at 1:30am)

i changed page 1 to no chase, and same thing...as soon as one scene is over on page 2 then the Insignia scene on page 1 stops.

Hmm, it works on my machine.

What operating system are you running? Do you have the most up to date software (6.25) and the fix files? They can all be found here: http://download.thelightingcontroller.com/software/V6/
