Ableton to Showxpress Midi Issues

Hello!

I am currently using Ableton to send Midi notes to Showxpress to control light scenes and I'm running into an issue that I cannot find a solution or figure out why it is happening. Using a Mac, I am on the latest version of 7 showxpress and version 9 of ableton and I have it setup almost identically to the youtube tutorial:

I currently have par cans changing every 1/2/4 beats depending on the song between scenes to give it a chase feel at the same tempo of the song and then I have blinders that come on for a certain length of time during certain parts. I use flash buttons and held notes to keep the scene alive and make drawing the midi out much easier. The problem I am running into is when the next par can scene triggers the blinders shut off despite the button still showing pressed inside showxpress. If I hold the button down, I experience the same result. Is there a routing setting that I am missing the would resolve this issue?
