Changing personality files on a show already created

Please help. I'm a newb to ShowXpress and I messed up.

I know you aren't supposed to mess with your DMX channels (under Fixtures > Editor) after you have a show created, BUT... I really need to change my profile I'm using for my 4 ColorRails. I thought I'd be doing a great thing by using the 26 channel profile (most control, greater possibilities using the most DMX channels right?), but in doing so, it seems you aren't able to use the pre-set macros for the fixture. You can if you use the 7-channel profile. How do I swap out profiles without messing up my whole show?

The 7 channels profile is totally different than the 26 channels profiles.
The scenes for the 26 channels profile can not be adapted for the 7 channels profile.

I mean that I would like to take out the 26 channel profile and use the 7 channel profile in it's place. I don't have any macros setup yet, so I won't have much editing on the fixtures to re-do.

I just want to make sure it doesn't effect my other fixtures at all (I assume it shouldn't if I don't move them around at all?)

So, I assume I can just delete the old ColorRail profiles/fixtures, and add a fixture (7-channel) back for each one and as long as I don't move any other fixtures around or overlap anything, I should be fine?
I do realize I'll need to re-do any programming (like you said the profile won't just start working with the scenes I've already done). I only have a few on those fixtures, anyway. So I'll redo them.

Yes:
- you delete the 26ch profile
- you add the 7ch profile
- you redo the programmation for the 7ch profile
The other fixtures will not be affected.
