I am using a livid instruments ohmrgb as a midi controller for show express. I am running v7 on a mac 10.10.1 yosemite.
My question for you is this, is there any patches that will allow the software to send to my controller that a button in live is triggered, there for make it the led blink? And once turned off, go back to the non blinking color?
I spoke with livid, they said it is possible if I personally code a max patch or puredata patch both which I have no clue on how to do. This would be the final touch to what would almost be considered one of the best combos I have been able to come up with. Thanks and I hope to hear good news!

Re: displaying triggered buttons
For this, you must use "MidiOut" in the software
Re: displaying triggered buttons
okay, can you explain a bit more? I've seen allot of threads about aki products but none for livid. Any references or manuals would be good. I'm not sure how to patch out, but I'm a quick learn. So anything that you could tell me would be great

It still seems way over my head, for a lay man, what would be the best way to go about understanding midi. I'm sure I need to patch on the software as well as modify the behavior in hardware too?
Re: displaying triggered buttons
Each midi device has a different way to manage its buttons LEDs.
Moreover, the midi device usually offers more than one configuration to drive these LEDs.
So there is no choice but to read the "LEDs management section" of the midi device manual, and then to chose one of the proposed configurations. Once you know the required midi messages to drive the LEDs, you have to enter them in the "button trigger midi out" section (viewtopic.php?f=76&t=1499).
