Any cuelist like midi sendes

I am looking for any suggestions on cheap easy (free) software that will allow me to use like a cuelist that'll just send midi signals to Showxpress for a drama.

I am wanting to have the program allow me to select "GO", it sends a midi signal or signals as desired to the appropriate buttions on Showxpress, then it moves down to the next cue.

Any suggestions.

Also, if I trigger a button with a midi signal, if I send the same signal, will it release the button or do I have to tell it midi off?

Yes, with for instance a "NoteOn" message.
