I would like each colored par to have it's own channel (a red par for red, a blue par for blue etc.) So I made a couple of icons and put them in the channel directory. Unfortunatly this doesn't work. The par gets white and is not usable. It seems that I can only choose the "par_can" and the "red, blue and green" channel (icon). Why is this?

How to define "non-led" parcan ? [fixed]
Re: choosing channels
If you are talking about non-LED parcans, I used PAR-CAN BLUE fixture config from the library for blue. I loaded it again and changed the color using the color pallate for red and green. I assigned each its own DMX and used dimmer in the channel. Hope this helps.

For better understanding, we added some par can personality files here: http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... ity_files/

Re: How to define "non-led" parcan ?
Yes I am talking about non-LED parcans, and yes I used the PAR-CAN BLUE fixture config from the library for blue too. I am able to change the colors and rename the PAR-CAN BLUE to any color I want and ofcourse I can give names like BL for blue (GR of green etc.) in "DMX addressing settings". But I would like to use my own "channel-icon" and not just the par_can "channel-icon" for a better overview in the editor.
Re: How to define "non-led" parcan ?
It is not possible to change the icon file name, because this is the way 3DView recognize it has to display a parcan.
Anyway, added in the TODO list.
