I primarily use ShowXpress with my band, however I'm looking to diversify. I'd use a lyrics editor for my solo show, and for "live band" karaoke.
With the ease of use in timeline, I think that would be a pretty cool feature to put into showxpress. The only other product out there that I have found is the Alien Apparatus, and it's functionality is a fraction of showxpress. Very clumsy as well.
Thanks,
Dave Lerbakken

I totaly second that.
Currently I make my own Jpegs of lyrics, one jpeg for each verse and chorus plus a few oddities like key changes and other handy prompts. I route it to a second monitor using screeen control and place the monitor just a bit offstage so the audience cant see it but us on stage can. Incredibly handy but having a dedicated text command line would be fabulous so we can that content come up into screen control rather than doing jpegs cause they do take such a long time to make.
Support ? Great idea !

Lee.

Oh wow, i would have never thought to just have a screen of lyrics at a time. That's cumbersome, but that way you could add chord changes too I suppose. That will at least get me started. I hope they consider our request.
Thanks, Lee!

That would be great. We are in a church setting so we project the lyrics onto the bigscreen for the congregation to sing along. The words are in the foreground with an active background. Having the lyrics on the timeline during editing would be very helpful. Scenes could be changed at exact times the lyrics change is triggered as oppossed to hoping we start the timeline at the exact moment the band starts off the song.
