live buttons requests

Post by rohaantje »

hi,

i've 2 requests:
1. i would like to see a color dialer in live for RGB fixtures.
2. is it possible to add sliders for 1 channel dimmer fixtures(without building a scene)

in the attachment is a picture wich illustrates my idee.

We try to keep Live, as easy as possible.
Moving parts of Editor into Live, not easy indeed !

the question is: What is simple

Make a bunch of scenes whit colors for the ledpars.
Or assign a color to a group of ledpars.

And there isn't a way to control your par's normal..
Right now i connect a midi device and assign channels to the faders.

So far, users like the concept of several "solo button" pages, with "bunch" of buttons.
It looks like they like, let's say 40 choices of color with direct access each.

good idea. It's the same concept like the big lighting consoles. u only put the fixtures addres in the machine and in automatic generes the "scenes" or in this case, a color wheel controlling "n" number of fixtures or some group, saving a lot of time and you can controll colors in real time if u want ANY color you get it and u dont have to programa a scene because u can choose the color in the fly. Nice concept.

For me simple could be: make a setup with your fixtures and trough a wizard, allow showxpress to generate scenes and store it automatically in LIVE ;) (like a generator, but instead of saving the scene in a folder, then put it automatically in LIVE), like the big lighting consoles ;)

Yeah... users like me... but sometimes it's very annoying to program 40 scenes one by one... and only for colors... the software needs some type of generator for save time

and for the faders request thats a good idea... for me the solution could be a option to link each fader of the EDITOR to a MIDI control........ or simply use the master faders if u want to control a group ;)

For now, the DMX monitor could help a little bit...

Bonsoir,

;)

Philippe.
