Would it be possible to make both the Beat and BPM functions selective?

I'd like to have the option of having two Beat counters instead of one BPM counter and one Beat counter.

Have the ability to add a second beat counter.

Adding a second Beat counter seems not possible without changing deeply the source code.

Replacing the BPM counter by a Beat counter is noted.

INStead of adding simply a "+1", I must say that I will probably not use it but... it makes sense !
Caveat: you should consider then a way to import or lock to a MIDI file, to follow all tempo changes...

I'm currently sending the tempo as a beat from Ableton to Showxpress but I would also like to send specific notes at specific times to trigger scene changes. I tried using the BPM but it does not work as well as sending a constant note, especially when there is tempo changes. Having two beat counters would allow me to send two different steps simultaneously. It would be very helpful.
