3D not opening in window

I'm new to DMX and have went through the first three training videos numerous times. Software is loaded, 512 box with driver loaded. When I click on 3d view the icon pops up in the task bar but when you click it , it doesn't expand/open. It does go to a different shade like it is open , but nothing. I have looked for it to see if it is hidden. I have uninstalled and re-installed 3 times. This is all on a new Lenovo Laptop I7, 16 gig ram 512 ssd. Only other software on it is Traktor Pro 2. Please help...

It might be outside of your screen resolution (may be you changed monitors ?).
Please try this:
- close the window 3DView
- open the file "../YourLightshow/3DView/3dview.ini" with a notepad application
- delete the line starting with "Frm_Main ="
- save the file and close it
This will reset the location of the 3DView window. Then you should be able to see it again.
