I can't seem to find an answer to my question in sweetlight users' manual. Although Sweetlight webpage says it is easy to import custom 3d objects, I can't find explicit directions how to do this. Can someone help me. I created a 3d set design in .obj format, but don't know how to import it. Thanks.

a quick answer while you wait for support's answer. i believe you will open up showexpress (or sweetlight)/ 3dview/ other/ and choose the folder you want it in and save it in that folder. when you open up 3d you should see that option then. good luck

Yes, this is correct.
- open the folder of the software application
- open the folder 3DView/other/
- create your own folder (for instance "my3Dobjects")
- copy your OBJ files into the folder "my3Dobjects"
- restart 3DView, and in menu "Object settings -> Bank of objects" you should see your new folder with the new 3D objects

Caution: the 3D objects must be not too complex. For info, the sizes of our 3D objects are less than 100Kb.

A reply to pogjack's question: I created the object in the free application, google sketch-up. However, sketch-up doesn't save as .obj file. I imported my sketch-up file into Adobe Photoshop (not free) then converted it to .obj.

Many free programs can generate "obj" files (or Sketch Up Pro). For example, you can use the excellent "Anim8or". "Art of Illusion" is another one written in Java and then multi-platform.
