I am aware that you are not really allowed to recommend some of these midi devices, but it would help the group if you could mention which ones you used to test the software and hardware on.

Sorry but we use always virtual midi devices (some of them are really close to reality, with rotating sliders, faders, program change, control change, ...).
But virtual devices are unluckely not useful for you.
