The message "interface found" means the usb communication is ok.
Does the interface usb LED blink, when you play a scene in tab Live ?

The PC link doesn't blink, it doesn't even turn on. You can see in the picture I posted below/above... The unit simply won't work with version 8 on my Macbook Pro 10.5.5
I had mentioned in my previous post that I am able to use the unit with version 7 on my macbook Pro 10.5.5. and use version 8 on my HP Windows 10 with no problems, the D512 functions as normal... It acts as a dead brick with version 8 on my Macbook Pro 10.5.5. I stored a standalone scene on the D512 with my other laptop(Windows 10 HP) When ever I attempt to launch Version 8 on my Mac with the box connected, it goes straight to the standalone scene, showXpress version 8 doesn't take over the D512 at all.

So the situation, with your Macbook Pro 10.5.5, is:
1. when the software is not running, the interface plays its standalone scene (which is normal)
2. when you start our software version V8, you read "interface xxx found" in the welcome screen (which is normal)
3. but the interface keeps playing its standalone scene
Please confirm.

Yes, That is exactly what is happening, for some reason Version 8 doesn't work at all with the D512 on my Mac 10.10.5. Yosemite
Do you think I may need to update the firmware? I just bought this unit a couple weeks ago. I can provide you the SN if need be.

Please confirm you did not set a specific "DMX universe mapping".
("main menu > Preferences > DMX universes > Enable DMX universe mapping" is disable)

That was the issue, DMX Universe Mapping was enabled. Disabled it and rebooted. PC link is blinking and I am able to communicate with my fixtures. Didn't know that was checked, must have clicked it when I first got the software, tinkering with things... Thank you for finding the fault to my issue!
