requirement for DMX patch

DMX Input incompatibility will force me to continue to keep V6 out of a show setting for now or run two PC's, one V5 the other V6.
"Soft-patch'ing" the program would be a welcome tool, I look forward to that update.
But without DMX INPUT, like V5, how am I to use a conventional console as a wing to V6? I can't seem to make my console talk to V6 for anything, no matter how I have it patched, set up, configured etc...

I understand that I could build my "HOUSE" solo and vocal spots, wash and specialty lighting cues into the 200+ looks (Scenes), and with "soft-patching" put my programming to the "HOUSE" fixtures.
However I would want to mange those cues like a STACK with a "GO" forward or back button, triggered for example, from the up and down arrows on the keyboard but separate from how LIVE functions by mouse clicks and the PLAY/PAUSE button.

Currently I use DMX INPUT to assign the "HOUSE" fixtures to my console where I have already built a STACK with fade specific cues of vocal, solo, wash and CYC cues into the console. V5's DMX INPUT makes building that stack a breeze because I can see what I am doing on the 3D IMAGER when I am pushing sliders.
I then use LIVE to control LED Pars and MACS.
To put it another way: I STACK the cues for the downstage rig and run it from the wing console. I build looks (SCENES) for the upstage rig that I run from LIVE.

Also the ability to go manual with a wing console is a nice backup position for a variety of reasons and I have yet to build a stack that doesn't have some manual cue'ing. From a bump button highlighting of drum accents or fills, fog or haze machine cues, ACL's, Mole's (Crowd Blinders), global blackouts for pyro blasts, or walk on guest performers.

Is my only recourse to do as I earlier suggested: Run both versions on separate PC's?
