Re: UDP to MIDI

External device or same computer?

The UDP command will be from an external device (i.e. Brightsign player). Imagine that this external device is triggered and then it should send an UDP command (or any other protocol / solution) to the computer and the computer should interpret it as a MIDI ...

Re: DMX in

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Sound_Control ?

Thank you for the link but it seems a bit difficult for my task. The easiest way would really be a classical dmx in. So back to my initial question:
Which devices or software can be used therefore? It should be possible anyhow otherwise it would ...

Does anybody know a way / software / interface that can convert UDP commands to MIDI commands - for example to control / start the lights by an external device that sends an UDP command when it is triggered?

DMX in

How is it possible to establish a DMX in for Quick DMX?
Which devices or software can be used therefore?
We would like to use it for controlling buttons / timelines in live.

Net512 controlled with KRAMER Control

We would like to control the Net512 by KRAMER Control.
Via the UDP commands this should be possible. Do the 9 buttons only refer to the stand alone light files(without any audio or video) or is it also possible to trigger the "Live" timeline of the software to start audio and video as well?
