It would be terrific to have a "confirm update macro button" which can be enabled/disabled.

I have no longer access to this computer otherwise of course I would have use this very convenient functionality.
I managed to obtain the described file structures. I know there are a few files to edit. If you could help me you would avoid a big mess for an upcoming gig.

Re: 3D Window won't start
Enclosed the faulty file. You will see that it starts with head "4" and ends with head "1"
I now recall I wanted to revert the order as moving heads appears in the reverse order i wanted. #1 was right and #4 was left. I wanted the opposite. So using Editor/Fixtures/Edit Fixture I moved each head ...

Re: 3D Window won't start
I look at the last modified fixture file from the faulty show
copied one I backed up recently
IT WORKS AGAIN :)
so this fixture file must have been corrupted.
Lessons Learned:
- frequent named backups, at least on config changes and major scene updates
- if this happens again I know 3Dview ...

Re: 3D Window won't start
I just did an important test:
- created a new lightshow on same computer
- copied fixtures.ini and fixtures directory from faulty directory to new lightshow : 3DView won't start ! That"s good information, problem is either in
fixtures.ini or one of the fixtures files.

Re: 3D Window won't start
OK I tried with the fixture.ini file from a running version which I copied on this lighshow and still does not work. So this seem to rule out the ficture.ini. What other files does 3Dview.exe read and load at process start ?

Re: 3D Window won't start
Great, many thanks.
So I found that 3DView loads from an almost identical fixtures file on same computer.
I am not 100% sure which files are used by 3Dview. At least fixtures file. As I do not want to copy the valid one to replace the other one, to avoid side effects, I will compare them manually ...
