Im curious if anyone ever figured out a work around to the lack of fixture/group speed fader(s)?
Never was sure why the Master fader(s) speed setting didnt also have the channels option like the dimmer does.
Please nothing about new version.
Have it. Going through it. Not as intuitive as original ...

Correcting light positioning
3D View does not show correct light positions for given value compared to real world.
Example
Chauvet Q-SPot 260s Hanging.
Real World / 3D View
0 = Forward Up. (Light Start)
20 - straight ahead / 44
115 - straight down / 129
210 - straight back / 214
As you see, in 3D view these are all off by a ...

[request] Generator in 3D View
This is mainly for intelligent lighting.
Have it so you can select a fixture(or group like in Editor). Place a "point to marker" and light(s) will aim to that point.
Add another marker (step) and lights will move it it. Just like Editor you have the ability to adjust the movement type and duration ...

Re: [request] blackout function
Ctrl Shift Z - turns all buttons off.
Which is why I believe there isn't a "button" for it.
Instead it's a macro.

App to read .sce file like HEX editor?
Anyone know of an application to read the scene file.
Going to try a HEX editor when I get home but just thought I would ask.
Think it would save me allot of time duplicating a single fixture scene over multiple fixtures. Each having different start points. IE I can change the fixture address and ...

Re: Movinghead control by joystick
have you ever used a joystick to program moving heads?
I have hardware controllers that do have/use joystick. Since this software has no real time recording capabilities it would be a PITA. Just use a trackball on the POINT pad (name?) within Editor. Same thing.

Re: More Tabs.
So I noticed I have 2 tabbed Button pages and also 1 Windowed Button page. So 3different pages altogether...
Again - I am lost at why you say this would be a BIG coding issue.
It existed prior to V6. IF it causes someone lag well then THEY can choose to reduce the # of pages they have.

Re: Manual BPM change - add manual stepping?
I'm not following your thought process. (and sorry this gets us off OG topic)
Scanner speed is a non existent thing. You have X and Y coordinates. These are programmed over numerous steps. No way to control multiple lights as each will have different X and Y coordinates. Even on lights where you can ...

Re: Manual BPM change - add manual stepping?
I was just thinking on the lines of this.
I was testing how some moving head scenes reacted to when I set them to manual BPM and then changed the BPM. What I found was that it changed the movement form from a sine wave to a square.
So no matter what the BPM was, gone was their smooth movement ...

Re: More Tabs.
Minimizing and maximizing was PITA.
So I am great full that the 2nd page is tabbed BUT Why would allowing more be a big codding job?
It was in V5 already. I never had lag issues in V5.
