I am using a tablet computer with a touch screen and a second touch monitor. They work well for what i do and are more intuitive than moving a curser with a mouse to press a button. However, you cannot do multiple touches, each touch must be distinct and separate.

Yeah, they are pretty cool. I only had one day from their arrival to a show, so I didn't have a lot of time to work up more than a few basic scenes, but I am impressed so far. I have several reasons that I really like to have dmx in.
1: Wing console allows me to use my left hand for something. Most often, it is controlling specials for highlighting solos. Basic washes too. But, I have most of the 24 channels used for something for the shows I do.

I have used a scene setter and a stage setter as a wing console, havent used the dmx operator. If it can be configured to output single channels it will work.

Yes, I use a 24 channel wing console, DMX out from it goes into my interface (box) DMX in.
In live you can set triggers just like using midi, but use a dmx trigger instead.
From Live, right click on the button you want an external trigger.
Click button trigger.
Bottom of the window is DMX trigger ...
